Our aim is to work closely with rough sleepers and those who have been rough sleeping for up to 12 months to help them gain the skills and knowledge they need to maintain a tenancy and a long-term home.

We work with these customers to tackle the barriers to housing that they’ve faced previously. We help them with:

  • managing and maintaining a tenancy
  • budgeting and money skills
  • drug/alcohol misuse
  • physical health
  • meaningful use of time
  • emotional and mental health
  • self-care and living skills
  • motivation and taking responsibility.

Colleagues help customers to make positive changes from the first day they come into the service. The team works closely with other organisations in Sunderland to give people the best possible start.
