Thirteen launches new handyperson service to help customers

Thirteen has launched a new service to help customers with odd jobs around their home.

From Monday 1 October Thirteen’s repairs and maintenance team will be providing a handyperson service in addition to the normal repairs service.

Appointments for the paid service will be available for a trial period until 31 January 2019 for customers living in the Tees Valley, so the team can see how much demand there is for appointments.

The service will be provided by Thirteen’s trade operatives and customers will be able to request these appointments by:

Repairs and maintenance contracts manager Rachel Cox said: “We’re delighted to be launching this new service at the start of national customer service week.

“We know that sometimes our customers need some extra help around their home, with odd jobs such as connecting a gas cooker or plumbing in their washing machine and many other jobs which are not part of our normal repairs service that we provide to customers.

“It can be difficult and sometimes expensive to call someone out who you don’t know, so that’s why we’re offering competitive prices for our customers.

“The jobs we’ll be carrying out will be limited while we’re in the trial period, but we would hope to increase this in the future.”
