A graduate of the University of Oxford, Kiersten started her career in the chemical industry where she held various European and global commercial roles, providing a sound underpinning for a varied and challenging career which has included senior roles in private, public and voluntary sector organisations, including higher education.
Kiersten has held business-facing non-executive director positions, was the chair of the NEECC Tees Valley Committee for eight years and has been an FE college governor during challenging and significant change. Kiersten’s varied leadership portfolios of marketing, student recruitment, programme development, business engagement and international development allow her a particular insight into the changing landscape of this sector and the challenges facing institutions and their leadership teams.
Laura is a co-founder of Change & Transformation and works across all of the organisation’s products and services.
Laura started her career at Procter & Gamble on the marketing graduate scheme progressing quickly through the ranks to senior roles, leading to a transfer to Geneva and the challenge of leading a team which included R&D and engineering experts based in Germany. The lessons and challenges of leading multi-functional, multi-national teams are still a rich source of inspiration for her work to-date.
Laura moved back to the UK where she headed up a number of key commercial teams for Procter & Gamble in London. After leaving P&G, Laura spent time at other well-known consumer goods experts including Cadbury and Heinz. Since moving to the North East with her family, Laura has used her corporate, commercial and marketing experience to deliver consultancy projects for clients across the region as well as co-designing and co-delivering our organisation, team and leadership development work.
In her spare time Laura is involved in the local running community, acting as Event Director for the local junior parkrun and organising the annual Yarm Fun Run. She has also served on the board of two major charities in the region.
