Customer engagement election

Elections have been held to vote for the new chair of Thirteen’s customer engagement framework.

Val Scollen was re-elected to the position for the upcoming 12 months.

Val, who is one of Thirteen’s customers, lives in Billingham and has been involved with our work for over 15 years. She has also been chair of the framework since September 2018.

Alongside a number of other candidates, Val presented a pitch to other involved customers about the work she will be involved with during her time as the chair of the framework.

A vote was then held online and at the recent customer engagement open day.

As part of her role, Val attends the Thirteen board meetings and presents finding from reviews of services to hold the company to account and help to develop and improve services.
