Cost of living support
The cost of living is the amount of money needed to cover basic daily needs such as food, fuel, energy, housing, and taxes, in a certain place and at specific time.
A big increase in the cost of these things over recent months is causing concern to lots of people.
We understand customers are finding it hard to pay for things they need to live their lives. We are committed to supporting customers through difficult times.
There are a range of things we can do to help you with the cost of living. This includes:
- helping you with paying your rent
- checking to see if you can receive certain benefits
- helping you apply for one off payments, such as a Discretionary Housing Payment
- helping you find a job
- helping you prepare for finding a job
- providing practical advice to help you use less energy
- putting you in touch with a credit union
- putting you in touch with a food or baby bank
