Towards a Greener Tees Valley
Following our successful Community Renewal Fund bid, supported by Tees Valley Combined Authority, Thirteen and Teesside University carried out a programme of research around customer engagement, behaviours and attitudes relating to activities involved in decarbonising homes.
This has resulted in the production of the below academic reports by the university, supported by some practical learning from projects carried out by Thirteen.
The executive summary below gives an overview of the work carried out and includes some recommendations for the housing sector and our partners to help in their own journeys to reducing the carbon footprint of the homes they own and manage.
The findings very much support previous research, touch on issues that have been widely discussed across the sector and often reinforce existing knowledge or thinking. We hope this additional evidence and the practical learning will help us continue to make progress on the decarbonisation journey and improve the overall experience for our customers and the communities we work in.
If you would like any further information about this project or future work, contact details can be found at the end of the executive summary.
