How our governance works

Our governance structure plays a key role in how we lead the organisation and make decisions.

Our board, committees and executive team provide direction, challenge and scrutiny to help us do the right thing for our customers, colleagues and communities.

Our governance arrangements follow the National Housing Federation’s Code of Governance.

Gender pay gap report

We’re required by law to publish our gender pay gap each year. This report shows:

  • the percentage of male and female colleagues in each level of the organisation
  • our mean and median gender pay gap

While our gender pay figures compare well within our sector and nationally, we’re focused on what we can do to improve gender equality.

This helps us attract and retain talented people in the future.
We’ll use the insight from our gender pay data to shape a strategy to reduce the gap.

This will include looking at our approach to equality, talent management, pay, reward, recruitment and retention — and addressing any gender imbalances we’ve identified.

Gender pay gap data is always published the year after it’s collected — for example, 2023 data is published in 2024.
