At Thirteen, supporting our communities is at the heart of everything we do. All our above threshold tenders include a social value expectation: we want our suppliers to work with us to help make a positive difference in our communities.

We also want to ensure that our supply chains are free from modern slavery and we expect our suppliers to complete appropriate checks.

Tender opportunities

We advertise all of our tender opportunities through our procurement portal (In-tend) as well the Government's national portal (Contracts Finder).

Match My Project

At Thirteen, social value is more than a contractual requirement. It's an opportunity to make a difference in our communities.

To support our suppliers, contractors and partners in delivering meaningful social value, we engage with a free online platform called Match My Project, that connects businesses with community organisations and projects that need support.

The platform acts as a bridge between the business and voluntary sectors. Community groups can post projects and requests for support, while businesses can offer funding, materials, professional expertise, volunteering time, employability support and other resources that help projects thrive.

By working together, we can create opportunities for local residents to develop new skills, access employment and training, improve health and wellbeing, strengthen community connections and enhance the places where they live. Social value activity also contributes to local economic growth by investing in community organisations, building capacity within the voluntary sector and creating stronger partnerships that support inclusive and sustainable communities.

If you can't find a suitable project, you can still make offers of support through the platform, including:

• Donations of funding, materials or equipment
• Employee volunteering opportunities
• Work experience and employability activities
• Career inspiration events and school engagement
• Mentoring and business support for community organisations
• Professional or pro bono services.
