At Thirteen, we work together to provide quality homes, build stronger communities, and support people to live well.
We’re a housing association supporting around 100,000 people across the North East, Yorkshire and Humber. Every year, we invest millions to keep our homes safe, secure and well maintained. We help people get onto the housing ladder, manage rent and keep their homes in good repair.
We’re proud of our track record in building new homes for rent and shared ownership. As a Homes England Strategic Partner, we’re delivering hundreds of high-quality, modern homes through our five-year affordable homes programme, running until 2029.
But we’re more than just bricks and mortar.
We invest in services that help people to sustain tenancies and live independent successful lives. This includes:
- preventing homelessness
- helping people into work
- Helping people to maximise their income and be financially included
- resettling refugees
We also provide homes and services for people who need extra support to live independently, including:
- extra care schemes for older people
- support for young people
- homes for people with learning disabilities
- help for care leavers
- accommodation for people leaving prison
We know we can’t do this alone. That’s why we work closely with partners and listen to their views – it’s essential to making a bigger impact.
We’re proud to be recognised with Investors in People Gold, showing our commitment to our colleagues.
Why Thirteen?
Thirteen is more than a number. It’s a word loaded with ideas of chance, fate and fortune, good and bad.
We chose the name to stand out. It’s bold, memorable and different. It’s ownable in a sector where sameness is common.
To embrace Thirteen is to show fearlessness. It’s about taking ownership and believing that circumstances are never beyond our control. Destiny isn’t pre-written, our future is what we choose to make it.
