How we work

We believe work is what you do – not where you go. That’s why we’ve developed four flexible ways of working. 

Our modern, open-plan hubs are designed for collaboration and are easy to get to by public transport. Most sites also offer free staff parking. 

Colleagues are based at a Thirteen site, usually because they work directly with customers or need access to equipment. 

Their roles are structured and often reactive, shaped by customer demand or contracts.

They work fixed hours, typically on a rota, and need to be available at specific times to support service delivery.

Colleagues work flexibly, often from home, with autonomy to manage their time and workload.

They’re outcomes-focused and accountable, balancing personal flexibility with customer and team needs.

Regular in-person collaboration is expected, including weekly Team Time.

Colleagues work across multiple locations depending on customer and team needs.

They have autonomy in how they plan their time and manage their workload, but must stay visible, maintain confidentiality, and keep their manager informed of their location.

Colleagues carry out practical, customer-facing work across sites and properties.

Their roles follow structured hours, often on a shift pattern, and may include overtime or call-out duties.
