Thirteen has been awarded the We Invest in People – Gold Accreditation from Investors in People
This award shows that we’re serious about supporting our people. It means we’ve got the right things in place to help everyone grow, and that across the whole business, people are making it happen. Only 28% of organisations reach the gold standard, so we’re chuffed to be one of them.

But what does gold accreditation actually mean?
Investors in People (IIP) is a respected organisation that works with businesses across the world to help them lead, support and develop their staff. Their accreditations are a recognised sign that a company looks after its people and helps them thrive at work.
To achieve gold, an organisation needs to meet high standards in how it leads its teams, manages performance, supports wellbeing and encourages learning. It means our people feel empowered, trusted and valued.
Gold means we’re doing more than just the basics. We’re going above and beyond. We’ve built a workplace where staff feel included and listened to. Where people can develop and build their careers. Where we celebrate hard work and say thank you. We're created a culture where everyone, no matter what their role, plays a part in shaping how we do things.
The award isn’t handed out lightly. It’s based on a full staff survey and one-to-one chats with people across the business. That honest feedback helps us to keep improving and we listen to what our people say.
Here’s what some of our team told the assessors:
“I have an excellent relationship with my manager. I can go to them with anything and they are professional, kind and caring.”
“I feel we are listened to – our opinions are respected and valued.”
“We get thanks and well dones even when it’s pretty hectic. The manager still makes time to show appreciation.”
At Thirteen, we want everyone to feel supported and able to do their best work. Whether you’re out in our communities, in our offices, or working from your home or the homes of our customers.
