The theme for National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) 2026 is centred around ‘skills for life’.
At Thirteen, we're passionate about providing our apprentices with the skills and knowledge they need to kickstart their journey to a rewarding career.
What are we doing this week?
Throughout the week, we’ll be sharing inspiring apprentice stories, giving an inside look at what it’s like to work here as an apprentice, and hearing from colleagues who began their careers as apprentices and have since progressed into a wide range of roles across the business.
Meet our apprentices at local events
Our apprentices will be out and about at the following events. So, if you know someone thinking about starting an apprenticeship, come along for a chat:
-
Monday 9 February: Redcar & Cleveland College, 5pm–7pm
-
Tuesday 10 February: Middlesbrough College, 4pm–6pm
-
Thursday 12 February: Stockton Riverside College, 5pm–7pm.
They’ll be happy to talk about their experiences, answer questions and share what life at Thirteen is really like.
Marking the occasion
To round off the week, we’re hosting a special celebration afternoon at Redcar & Cleveland College to recognise the fantastic contribution our apprentices make every single day.
Our senior leadership team will be joining to talk about their own career journeys, share wisdom and anecdotes and spend time with our apprentices. There’ll also be fun teambuilding activities, networking opportunities and some treats for everyone.
It’s our way of saying thank you for everything they bring to Thirteen.
