Lead Operatives

Around 30 lead operatives have been appointed to assist in the day to day management and running of the service area they’re working in, such as investment and maintenance, voids or repairs.

Plumber Ollie Raby and drainer Darren Landells (pictured) are two of the successful staff members to become lead operatives. They’ve both worked for Thirteen for number of years and they’re enjoying their new challenge.

The lead operatives, who can be easily recognised on site wearing white polo shirts, carry out a variety of additional tasks to ensure the team they work in is providing the best customer experience.

Director of investment and maintenance Nik Turner said: “This role bridges the gap between management and our trade operatives.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for our trade operatives to develop their careers and they’re making a real difference to the service we provide for our customers.”
