In the last 12 months, we’ve helped 103 families turn empty spaces into safe, comfortable homes through our furniture support scheme.

While we’re incredibly proud of this, sadly, the demand is higher than the supply. There are times when we can only partially fulfil referrals, or are unable to support at all, because we simply don’t have enough stock. That means some customers go without the essentials they need to feel settled.

Why your donation matters

Your donations help us to support customers in some of the most vulnerable circumstances. Including those who are:

  • on low incomes

  • rebuilding after homelessness

  • fleeing unsafe situations

  • or have lost their belongings due to flooding or fire.

Our furniture upcycling team restores donated items, giving them a new lease of life before passing them on. This means your donation doesn’t just help our customers, it also helps reduce waste and protects the environment.

What we need most

We’re always grateful for any donations, but in particular, we need:

  • drawers

  • small sofas

  • small dining tables and chairs

  • wardrobes

  • bedside tables

  • coffee tables

  • kitchen utensils (in good condition)

We’ll also consider items not on this list. If you’re unsure, you can send us a photo and we’ll take a look.

What we can’t accept

To keep everyone safe and make sure items are suitable, there are a few things we can’t take:

  • electrical items

  • upholstered furniture without a fire safety label.

Could you help?

If you or someone you know is having a clear out or replacing furniture, please think of us.

Complete our donation form to let us know what you’d like to give, and a member of our team will arrange collection (collection is free from all TS postcodes).

Your support can help make a difference.
