This vibrant event was a celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies, with something for everyone , from live music and creative workshops to family fun and colourful performances. It was free, open to all, and was a great day full of pride, inclusion and togetherness.

Organised by Hartlepool-based charity Curious Arts, and shaped by local people and organisations, Hartlepool Pride is a brilliant example of community spirit in action. It aims to create a safe, welcoming space where people from all backgrounds can come together and celebrate equality.

Kathryn Whittle, director of corporate affairs at Thirteen, said:

“Equality, diversity and inclusion are central to everything we do at Thirteen. Our colleagues live these values every day, so we didn’t hesitate when asked to support Hartlepool Pride as headline sponsor.

As a major employer and housing provider, it’s important to us to show up for the LGBTQIA+ community and be part of events that bring people together.”

Highlights on the day included:

  • Mini Pride at Hartlepool Art Gallery
  • Live music from Hartlepool Youth Music in Church Square
  • Creative workshops at Hartlepool Town Hall Theatre
  • Pride market at The Northern School of Art – a valued partner of ours through our Crown Hall and Titan House student accommodation
  • Our Mobile Touchpoint Van was in Church Square to conveniently help with any Thirteen enquiries that customers had.
