The £300,000 project will see Thirteen working in partnership with Esh Construction to replace over 250 doors to its customers’ homes.

The work which recently started on site is expected to be completed in April.

Thirteen’s executive director of assets Paul Jenkins said: “We’ve pledged our ongoing commitment to invest in our customers’ homes and we’re delighted to be bringing these home improvements to some of our new customers in Hull.

“These improvements will not only enhance and modernise the appearance of the estate, but they’ll help to improve the energy efficiency of the homes.

“The team will be working closely with our customers throughout the project, and they’ll be on hand to answer any questions.”

Customer Leah Wilkinson said: “I’m really pleased with the work; it’s made a noticeable difference and helped to modernise the appearance of my home. The panels in the new door make my hallway feel much brighter too.”

Esh’s construction director, Colin Ford, added: “This latest contract award adds to a combined £7.8 million of refurbishment projects which Esh is currently delivering in partnership with Thirteen. We are pleased to continue our successful working relationship to deliver this much needed investment work for Thirteen’s newest customers.”

The work is part of Thirteen’s £31million investment programme to bring thousands of home improvements to its homes in the North East and Yorkshire.
