Adam, who joined Thirteen last year, just 18 months after completing a four year apprenticeship in electrical installation has shown his drive and ambition to succeed.

While he continued to study additional qualifications to help him progress in his career, he also regularly visits schools and colleges, promoting his success within the industry and encouraging other young people.

Adam said: “When I started to get involved with G4C I became really interested in the group. After some encouragement from senior management I was very impressed by the group’s vison. As a result I was given the opportunity to be joint chair.

“I’m really looking forward to promoting the work that G4C do in the Tees Valley, supporting events and opportunities within the industry to the younger generation.”

Executive director of property services Russell Thompson said: “Adam is a fantastic team member and ambassador for Thirteen and all young people who want to work within the construction industry.

“He has achieved so much at such a young age, there is no doubt his enthusiasm will encourage other young people.”

G4C (Generation for Change) is the young professional voice of the UK built environment industry, and an integral part of Constructing Excellence, the single organisation charged with driving the change agenda in construction.
