Christine Dunn, Customer Council member

It is with great sadness that Thirteen announces that Christine Dunn, a valued and long-serving member of Thirteen’s Customer Council, passed away on the evening of 11 April.

Christine volunteered with us for over 25 years after first moving into a Phoenix Housing property in Hemlington in the 1980s.

She subsequently got involved with projects to improve the services provided by the landlord, joining Tees Valley Housing’s Advisory Panel in 2004 before becoming an active member of Thirteen’s Customer Council in 2014. Christine was also part of the Area Housing Forum and Neighbourhood Panels where she worked on a number of projects to help improve services for other customers and tenants.

Chris Smith, Executive Director of Service Delivery and Development at Thirteen, said: “Christine was a great contributor to the development of tenant input at Thirteen, and at Fabrick, Tees Valley Housing and Phoenix Housing before that.

“It’s a great shock for all of us at Thirteen as Christine had attended a Customer Council meeting very recently. She was a great character and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.”
