Exhibitions
A Change of Perspective
Thu 1 – Fri 30 Apr
A Change of Perspective is a project lead by Lizzie Lovejoy, Artist of Change for ARC, meant to explore various views on topics that are prevalent in the North and in the world of Art. This will consist of a podcast, a blog and a series of six exhibitions intended to answer three important questions:
“What Do You Call Home?”
“What Do You Call Family?”
“What Does It Mean To Be Working Class?”
This process is a collaborative one, with local creatives, educators and researchers as well as with members of the community. In our window exhibitions, we want to see the work of local people (in TS and DL postcodes) shared! Do you have a drawing, a photograph or another visually creative piece that answers one of the above questions? Then we would like to see it, and some may be featured in our window and online gallery! Email Lizzie Lovejoy for your chance to be featured and share your unique perspective. More information here
Performance
Your Story, My Story, Their Story Now
Thu 8 Apr, 7pm
Join us for an online performance film recorded around secret corners of Stockton and surrounding areas to encounter moments of laughter, loss, kindness and new beginnings, shared by your neighbours – old and new.
Out of photographs, poetic lines, memories, objects and mementos from your neighbours’ lives, stories emerge honouring moments of transformation through past and current challenges.
In an open conversation after the film you will be able to ask questions to the contributors and share, if you wish, a similar experience and thoughts of your own during the online gathering. More information / book here

Cafe Scientifique on Zoom: The Science of Seaweeds
Tue 20 Apr, 7.45pm for an 8pm start
Seaweeds do for our coasts what trees do for our countryside: they provide shelter for wildlife, lock up nutrients for future generations, and act as barriers to protect ecosystems from the never-ending attrition of the winds and the waves. Join this Cafe Scientifique webinar with Dr John Bothwell via Zoom. Contact Claire.Cafesci@yahoo.com to obtain the Zoom link information. More information here
