The customers were invited to an event to speak to Thirteen’s property services team and make their kitchen choice.

The work, which is part of the company’s £31million investment plans this year, will be carried out between October and January.

Site agent Andy Towler said: “It was an excellent opportunity to speak to our customers and give them the chance to call in, meet the team and make their choice of kitchen throughout the day, at a time which was convenient for them. We’ll speak to the small number of customers separately who were unable to come along to the event.

“Customers have been given a choice of four kitchen suites, which will be fitted by the investment team. Now they have made their choice, plans will be drawn up and we’ll contact them to let them know when we’ll be working at their home.”

Thirteen’s executive director of property services Russell Thompson said: “This year’s investment programme is well underway, with thousands of our customers across the Tees Valley benefitting from the plans.”
