12 Nov 2018
Throughout the week, staff from Thirteen will be running activities and offering advice that can help with money matters.
Throughout the week, customers and tenants can:
Get ready for Christmas
We’ve launched our Christmas Money webpage which has a list of no and low cost events for the family in the run-up to Christmas.
We’ve also got details about support available to help your finances through one of the most expensive times of the year.
Have a look at www.thirteengroup.co.uk/ChristmasMoney
Save money from energy bills
To help you save money and use a local community energy supplier, Hartlepower is bringing its information roadshow into our offices for you to drop-in and have a chat.
Hartlepower staff are visiting from 11.30am till 2pm on:
- Tuesday 13 November: Titan House in Hartlepool
- Thursday 15 November: Northshore in Stockton.
If you bring along your latest energy bill and your bank details, you can switch supplier on the day. You can also find out more about Hartlepower on the company’s website.
Go shark fishing
We’re encouraging customers and staff to report loan sharks and reduce the instances of illegal money lending in our area.
Loan sharks make life a misery for thousands of people across the country and there are a number of warning signs that you can look out for if a customer is being targeted. See the attached leaflet that will help you spot the signs of when customers are victims of a loan shark.
You can report loan sharks to 0300 555 2222 or reportaloanshark@stoploansharks.gov.uk
