Project co-ordinator Keri Devine and trainee project co-ordinator Amy Trundley in Thirteen’s design and delivery team, were both named runner up in the rising star category of the Direct Works Forum Repairs and Maintenance Awards.

Amy started her career with Thirteen as an apprentice, then as a work planner arranging repairs. Similarly, Keri progressed from investment administrator to programme performance and information officer within the repairs team, which led to them wanting to develop their careers in the construction industry.

They both joined the design and delivery team in 2017, where they’ve worked on some challenging investment projects with external contractors. The demands on the job never stop the team from going the extra mile - providing excellent customer service and organising community fundraising events.

Now they’re on their way through a two-year course with Teesside University, combining studying and work to complete the HNC (Higher National Certificate) in building studies.

Senior property and investment manager Richard Marron said: “We’re all incredibly proud that Keri and Amy have been recognised for their achievements at the awards.

“They are great role models, with their infectious enthusiasm, a genuine desire to develop, learn through experience and go the extra mile attitudes. They truly are rising stars in our organisation.”
