Thirteen will benefit from £191.3m in funding for affordable homes.

This exciting partnership will support Thirteen’s commitment to building thousands of new homes across the North East, Yorkshire and the Humber region.

Thirteen’s chief executive, Ian Wardle, said:

“We’re absolutely delighted to have been announced as a strategic partner of Homes England.

“This funding allows us to build on our ambitious development programme across the North East, Yorkshire and the Humber. It’s our largest ever single award grant and will allow us to provide a further 3,270 much needed affordable homes. It will help us transform communities by delivering high quality, green homes and much more for our customers.

“It will also mean we can play an even greater role in addressing the current housing crisis”.

Sharon Thomas, Thirteen’s director of strategic partnerships, added:

“This is fantastic news for Thirteen and our customers. It means we have a long-term financial commitment from Homes England to build thousands of great quality homes. We can’t wait to get started.”

Homes England’s new strategic partners will deliver nearly 90,000 grant-funded affordable new homes over the next five years. Under the Affordable Homes Programme 2021-26, Homes England is committing almost £5.2bn in affordable housing grant to 31 strategic partnerships with 35 organisations.
