Colleagues from teams across the business have been shortlisted for:
- Best resident involvement initiative: as part of the recent Your Choice North Ormesby initiative, in conjunction with Middlesbrough Council, members of the community and other partners, we have been working in the area to tackle a range of challenges. We’ve been working together to regenerate the area and support the community to take an active, engaged and ongoing role in tackling issues together.
- Resident employment training initiative of the year: Thirteen’s employability service was established in an area with some of the highest levels of unemployment and deprivation in the country. We offer employability services for our tenants of all ages and circumstances, and the Youth Employment Initiative across the Tees Valley.
- Best initiative for tackling homelessness: the Key Step project is a homelessness prevention service for people aged 18 to 34 who are at risk of homelessness across the Tees Valley. Key Step identifies people at risk of homelessness and works to improve their lives by offering support and advice, which can include help with finding a home or job, or building resilience and independence to tackle homelessness.
The winners will be announced at a gala awards ceremony in Manchester on 23 May.
