Thirteen welcomes more than 1,000 new customers

We’re excited to welcome our new customers and colleagues to Thirteen.

We're excited to be welcoming more than 1,300 new customers in Middlesbrough and Hull after completing an acquisition agreement with Clarion Housing Group.

The deal with Clarion, which was formally completed on 26 July following a six-week customer consultation period, will see Thirteen take over the ownership and management of more than 1,000 homes as well as sheltered housing schemes and other community buildings.

Ian Wardle, group chief executive at Thirteen, said: “We’re delighted to extend a warm welcome to our new customers in Hull and Middlesbrough and we look forward to getting to know them as they settle in with us.

“We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and are looking forward to meeting our new customers. We’ll have our teams on the ground from day one in our new areas and, looking ahead, we plan to invest in the homes and buildings we’ve acquired as well as work with local partners to help create resilient communities that thrive.

As an ambitious organisation, we are always looking for opportunities to grow our geographic reach as well as solidify our status as the leading landlord in the North East. This opportunity allows us to expand further into Yorkshire, where we already have a presence and are keen to grow.

Thirteen is the largest landlord in the North East, owning and managing more than 34,000 homes and offering a range of care and support services within the community, with more than 70,000 customers across Teesside, the North East and Yorkshire.

The agreement will also see 14 colleagues joining Thirteen from Clarion.
