Hartlepool clean up ahead of Tall Ships Races 2023 [Archived]

As part of our sponsorship of the Tall Ships Races in Hartlepool, our community resilience and estate services teams have been working alongside Hartlepool Borough Council to tidy up the local area ahead of the big event.

Community resilience conducted a litter pick at Dyke House and West View with our governance and finance teams who volunteered to help the community. They cleaned up the walking routes that lead to the event at the Marina and Docklands.

In addition, The Annexe in Dyke House ran a campaign to give away food vouchers redeemable at the Tall Ships event if a local resident litter picked for a minimum of an hour.

Our estate services team have also worked with housing services to tidy up gardens on the routes and at the community centre, as well as identifying fly-tipping in the area and removing items.

We are looking forward to the Tall Ships Races 6th-9th July where will be continuing to support the local area on the run up to and after the event.
