Today (25 November) marks the start of the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence campaign - a campaign that calls to end domestic violence and abuse.

This is an internationally recognised campaign and Thirteen is taking part in the initiative to raise awareness of the issues of domestic abuse and the different forms it can take.

Director of operations Kay Glew said: “The campaign is so important in raising awareness of domestic abuse and highlighting how we can help our customers.

“Anyone can be affected by domestic abuse, we want people to know that there is support available, and don’t suffer in silence.

“I’d also like to recognise the work that our colleagues who provide these services and support for our customers do every day.”

Throughout the campaign we’ll be highlighting the ways people can recognise the signs of domestic abuse, how to access support and we’ll be sharing some feedback from our customers who we’ve supported.

We know this is a difficult subject for people to talk about, so we offer different ways that customers can access our services. You can use the way that suits you best and keeps you safe.
