During the pandemic, staff working in our supported, extra care and sheltered schemes have had to think outside the box to keep the spirit of community and togetherness going while following social distancing guidelines.

With communal areas closed during lockdown and many activities unable to take place in the usual way, resourceful care and support staff came up with creative ways to keep residents engaged.

Gillian from our care and support team shares how she's helped to support residents throughout the pandemic at Anna Court, our support project for young parents in Hartlepool.

As restrictions ease, socially distant group activities have started to resume at our schemes which has been well received by many residents who missed the opportunity to get together. Staff have helped set up socially distant coffee mornings, gardening and outdoor games and events to keep residents busy and entertained.
